Relax Indoors. The holiday season and onset of chilly air can make you feel very tired. An easy fix is a blanket, book and cup of hot tea. A crackling fire helps too! But taking a break for yourself in a quiet peaceful setting, even if it's just for 20 minutes, can really make you feel rejuvenated enough to deal with shopping crowds or family.

Meditate. Your perception of time and space shifts when you meditate, so 20 minutes on your morning train feels like an hour in your own sanctuary. Don't give up if you can't keep your mind clear. Try counting, paying attention to your breathing or focusing on an object. Taking your mind off your everyday worries helps you see the big picture and focus on what's important.

Get Enough Rest. In times of pressure and discomfort, we require more sleep to keep up our immunity to sickness and stress. If you feel sickness coming on or simply find yourself run down, take a clue from your body and stay in and rest. Your friends and family love you, and they want to see you healthy and happy, even if it means you miss a holiday event or have to leave early to get some rest.

Eat Healthfully. Every week, take time to enjoy a good hot meal prepared with love. It can be home-cooked or made by a chef, but not fast food. Fast food is not prepared with love.
